Young Leaders Day 2024

Student Parliament or as a House Captain your child has the opportunity to attend the 2024 National Young Leaders Day on Monday 4 March 2024. Tickets have been purchased for the Parliamentarians and House Captains to attend this excellent event. The students will be travelling by train to the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour Sydney. Parents need to arrange for their child to be at Minto station at 6:55am to meet Mrs Brown and Mrs Byrne to catch the train to the city. If you have any difficulties with this, please see Mrs Brown to make alternative arrangements. We will return to Minto station at approximately 4:30pm from where the students will need to be collected. The cost of the ticket is $55 each, however the school is subsidising this cost and the students will only be required to pay $35 plus their train fare. Your child will need to bring a pre-purchased Opal Card for train and light rail travel. Students need to bring recess and lunch as the program allows very little time to purchase food. This is a wonderful opportunity as the students will gain a great deal of knowledge and experience from this event. Confirmed speakers include Paul Gallen (Sport) and Matt Cosgrove (The Arts).
